Chain for Trees, Blockchain Technology and IOT for Trees

We want to inspire and feel about what has a chance to change not only the Internet but also our urban reality.

Chain for Trees, Blockchain Technology and IOT for Trees. The 21st century is a time of breakthrough technologies, great climate challenges and new pickings. How should the young generation, who in the near future will take over the management of our world, find their way in this new world? Aware of these changes and the importance of new competences, we have created the Chain for Trees project, the aim of which is to inspire young people with IOT, Blockchain and Data Analysis technologies as well as to show them ways which should we pursue when thinking about those who have accompanied us for millennia, i.e. trees, our first parents.

The aim of the project is to show practical applications of the Internet of Things combined with Blockchain technology in waste management, while drawing attention to technologies in forest management. We want to inspire and feel about what has a chance to change not only the Internet but also our urban reality.

As you can see in the diagram, our project can be divided into 4 areas.

  • First, there are stakeholders. Our stakeholders are primary schools in Poland and Lithuania.
  • Next, each school has a container with an IoT device installed on the top, to check the filling of the container with batteries. These IoT devices check every 10 minutes of the filling of the container and send the data to the application in real-time. The interval between checking the filling of the container can be adjusted as needed, it can also be 1 minute or less.
  • Next, we have the Inkaust application. Data from IoT devices go in real-time to the Inkaust application, which: 1. Saves data on the blockchain as immutable data about the current filling of container 2. If a given school has more caps since the last reading, it is rewarded with an FT token. 3. Students and people interested in the whole program have access to a mobile application that tracks the progress of the project in real-time.
  • At the end of the program, we will plant trees together with schools and create digital twins of each tree. We will add an NFC bracelet to each tree, which will redirect you to the details of the given digital tree saved as NFT on the blockchain.

Everyone wins !!

Children from 6 schools from Poznań, Grudziądz, Warsaw, Niemenczyn (Lithuania) and Bezdan (Lithuania) take part in the project.

This project addresses the four main pillars

Education

We have been teaching blockchain technology since 2016 and we know how important it is to show what blockchain is. Where and how you can use it in your work, current project, or daily life. Therefore, educating students in our project is very important.

Blockchain & Tokens

Tokens offer building new business models, and new models of engagement. Using tokens, we can build new types of loyalty points, loyalty programs which are open programs that anyone can join much easier than in traditional loyalty programs.

Engagement

The modern version of just a sustainable city requires harmonious cooperation of various entities and integration of various infrastructure solutions and services.

Environmental responsibility

The most critical sustainability and challenges, such as decarbonization, climate risks, energy transition, and land and water resources, require high-fidelity infrastructure, and digital twins.

One-stop-shop for integrating IoT with blockchain

We secure the integrity of your IoT-generated data with a highly scalable, secure and super low-cost blockchain.
